Dermetrics Siascope pictures to show the highly demarcated cut off effect of pulse dye laser on blood vessels in the face of a patient with acne rosacea.
© Dr Peter Crouch, The Burghley Park Clinic, March, 2005
These pictures were taken with the Siascope - a special camera applied to the skin and which affords selective mapping of blood vessels beneath the skin. This sequence shows 2 pictures taken after Pulse Dye Laser treatment. Notice how the pulse dye laser has a well demarcated treatment area and the 2d and 3d picture shows areas of blood vessels between the pulse dye laser exposures. With grateful thanks to the patient who gave permission for her pictures to be published here as an information resource for those with rosacea.
