Welcome to www.triplc.info

This content is provided as a summary guide to the TRIPLC (Three range Intense Pulsed Light combined with Clarithromycin) Protocol for Treatment of Acne Rosacea developed by Dr Peter Crouch at  The Burghley Park Clinic, for visiting physician reference. The most recent presentaiton is provided below.

For an overview of the approach towards addressing all treatments for rosacea at The Burghley Park Clinic please click on General Approach

I have placed a copy of a recent explanatory presentation  (Lumenis User Group Malta 2008 )

on the following link:-

The presentation should load in a standard browser window (i.e. you don't need powerpoint to view it). Some of the graphics may take a few seconds to load so if the slide looks unfinished, please allow the pictures a little longer to load.

Please note:- from queries received, there remains some confusion between the terms triple pulses and three passes.

At the Burghley Park Clinic we individually tailor each IPL treatment to each patient depending upon their condition, skin type and previous history. Generally we use three passes, changing the filter between each pass and each pass involves a triple pulse (i.e. each area of skin treated therefore may have nine exposures to light in each treatment session - three passes each of three pulses).

Another common question seems to be why use the filters that let the widest range of wavelengths through first ?

I have placed some notes HERE ~ (with grateful thanks to those who asked me if I could expand on this)

To protect and preserve patient confidentiality, many of the clinical photographs are omitted. My grateful thanks to those who have agreed to allow their pictures to be published so that others may learn from their experiences.
