This video shows treatment use of the KTP 532nm diode laser to treat blood vessels on the face. In this example, the patient had severe rosacea treated with Intense Pulsed Light. Once the acne rosacea was under control, although the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin had improved dramatically, the reduction in the acne rosacea revealed several prominent blood vessels on the side of the nose. The KTP laser shown in this video is used to draw over the blood vessels and the laser energy is selectively absorbed by the blood - the blood vessel clots instantly and often, the vessel just disappears instantly from view. Video kindly reproduced here with the full permission of the patient and treating physician as an information resource for rosacea suffers following suggestions from patients and www.rosaceagroup.org
